About Wendy Musser Oil and pastel landscape painting has been the primary focus of North Carolina native Wendy Musser. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from UNC (Chapel Hill) and, returning to school later, she completed a second major in Interior Design at Meredith College and continues to work as a commercial interior designer. After years of working in art related fields, Musser began to study painting in 1995 under Mary Anne K Jenkins, and in 2001 began studying plein air painting. She finds painting in nature exhilarating and the challenge of translating the kaleidoscope of nature into a vivid yet harmonious image of colors very rewarding. Musser is a member of Paint NC, the Pastel Society of North Carolina, and has been juried into the Triangle Artists Guild as well as being juried as a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America. Her work is part of corporate collections of the Town of Cary (NC), Summit Covenant Church (NC), Duke-Raleigh Hospital (NC), Sungate Design Group (NC), Suntrust Bank (NC) and WakeMed Cary Hospital (NC). Musser's work has been featured on the covers of the NC State Bar Annual Meeting and the book "Granite Mountain, the Impenetrable Fortress" and gallery representation includes Xanadu Gallery in Scottsdale (AZ).
